The appearance of this deck heralded the beginning of the Cheesecake Era in America at the end of World War II. These ladies represented the "gals next door" in kitschy poses. Deck#141 - 1950s-60s Risque Humor Deck - MINT - Sealed in original cellophane wrapper - 52 Black, white and red cards + 2 Jokers. This is a very hard deck to find, especially still sealed. It's smaller than a standard deck and was one of those that you could buy in a vending machine way back 40++ years ago. It really captures a sense of the time and type of humor that was popular then. The court cards, aces, jokers and title card all bear the original paintings of Paul Emile Becat who did the erotic artwork on the Casanova deck, also published by Philibert. Perhaps the most beautiful deck of cards ever produced, these cards are virtually impossible to find, especially in this amazing condition.
